St. Catharines, June 4, 2021. The St. Catharines Downtown Association (BIA) is pleased to announce that Rachel Braithwaite has been appointed as the new Executive Director. Rachel will begin her role at the St. Catharines Downtown Association on June 8.
Rachel brings six years of experience running the Barton Village Business Improvement Area with her. In her role as Executive Director in Hamilton Rachel’s dedication, organization and team building has paid off by changing the perception of the Barton Street area and restoring pride to that neighbourhood.
Rachel brings effective leadership skills, a plethora of event planning; proven marketing and promotional abilities that will help downtown St. Catharines regain its pre-pandemic glory.
“We’re so excited to have Rachel join the Downtown Association as our new executive director. She’s brings experience but also very creative ideas to attract more businesses and people downtown.
Of course, we’ll miss Tisha Polocko’s dedication and energy that helped build downtown St. Catharines into the thriving area it is today, but look forward to what lies ahead”.
