Red Dress Walk through Downtown St. Catharines

A heartfelt thank you to all who shared their powerful stories, speeches, and beautiful music with the community during the May 5 gathering for the National Day of Awareness for MMIW.

We are so grateful to those involved in making this walk possible: Fallon Farinacci, Niagara Regional Native Centre, the Strong Water Singers, Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine & Performing Arts, City of St. Catharines, the Indigenous vendors, and all of the passionate and impactful speakers.

Red Dresses will continue to be displayed along St. Paul Street (from Carlisle to Ontario) until the end of May.

These dresses honour and represent the thousands of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ to the hands of violence.
