Photo Gallery: Davids & DeLaat Downtown Block Party

Downtown St. Catharines hosted the third annual community Block Party welcoming thousands of visitors into the heart of the city for a full day of free music, activities, and vendor markets.

The event kicked off with a music crawl on Friday evening that provided free performances at over 9 downtown venues and a free outdoor screening of Twister courtesy of the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre Fresh Air Flicks (which continue every Friday until the end of August!).

On Saturday sections of St. Paul and James Street were closed to traffic and opened to pedestrians to make room for outdoor stages and free family fun. Businesses and community members came together to provide free entertainment along with over 30 artists performing across Downtown ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Though the rain may have changed a few plans, it did not dampen the enjoyment of the day with approximately 5000 visitors still stopping by to enjoy the party in beautiful Downtown St. Catharines.
