Ontario-wide Emergency Brake Shutdown

The Ontario Government implements an “Emergency Brake” Shutdown, effective 12:01 am on Saturday April 3, 2021, for a period of at least one month, as a result of a surge ┬áin case numbers and COVID-19 hospitalizations across the province.

Although indoor/outdoor dining will not be permitted during the shutdown, take-out and delivery at restaurants may continue and retail stores may stay open with limited capacities. Please contact your favourite downtown businesses to verify if they are open and what restrictions may be in place.

The province’s news release can be found here.
