Enjoy VQA wines, craft beer, local eats and live entertainment at the new NIAGARA GRAPE & WINE GARDEN in Downtown St. Catharines!
Niagara Grape & Wine has partnered with the St. Catharines Downtown Association and the City of St. Catharines to bring a new festival experience to St. Paul Street on Friday and Saturday nights in September. From 5pm to 10pm, a selection of VQA wines and local craft beer will be available for you to purchase and enjoy in the outdoor picnic seating area. A great place to bring curbside takeout from your favourite restaurants in Downtown St. Catharines for a fun wine and dining experience! The Niagara Grape & Wine Garden is centrally located at 201 St. Paul Street (corner of James Street and St. Paul Street) in the heart of downtown. Entertainment, activities and vendors will vary week to week, and no tickets are required to enter the Niagara Grape and Wine Garden.
The Wine Garden has been designed with pandemic protocols in mind. There will be plenty of space between tables, with capacity monitoring and sanitation stations in place on Friday and Saturday nights. Visitors accessing the event space are reminded to follow the advice of Niagara Public Health; respect physical distancing; wear a mask when physical distancing is a challenge; and wash/sanitize your hands often. Always wear a mask when visiting inside businesses.
CENTRE STAGE SATURDAYS: Bring the festivities of Montebello Park to your own backyard! Concerts from headline bands will be live-streamed online on Saturday September 19 and Saturday September 26, featuring Ontario bands that won our new #CentreStageSaturdays contest. Niagara wineries will create Grape & Wine packs that will include a selection of wine and themed goodies to help bring the fun of the festival to your own backyard.
If you want to take in the live-streamed fun out-and-about in the community, you can watch at these two Downtown locations:
Niagara Grape & Wine Garden, 201 St. Paul Street, St. Catharines
The Mansion House, 5 William Street, St. Catharines
While the 2020 Niagara Grape and Wine Festival looks a little different this year, Canada’s oldest and largest wine festival will still provide Niagara residents and Ontario wine lovers with creative ways to safely experience the Festival’s most popular events and activities.
