The City of St. Catharines is asking for input from residents on their preferred location and design of a new public washroom in Downtown St. Catharines. Your input is important to help shape the future installation of the new public washroom.
An online survey is now available for residents regarding the installation of the new public washroom. Within the survey residents are asked to consider the best possible location for the facility within the downtown area, and, based on a list of pros and cons, choose from a list of washroom designs. The suggested designs include an automated self-cleaning washroom, a minimalist Portland Loo-style facility, and a more conventional public restroom.
Survey results will be compiled for a report to Council with a recommendation on the type of facility and will feed into next steps. The final design and location will be assessed based on several factors, including initial costs, ongoing maintenance costs and public needs.
