Who we are: The St Catharines Downtown Association operates as a Not-for-profit and is funded by its members (Commercial property owners and their tenants). It works to support its members through advocacy, beautification, events and marketing to promote the downtown area.
Expectations: Photography and/or videography of the following events – Looking for content (approx 100-500 edited photos or video & drone clips) to showcase live music, activities, and guests against the background of downtown businesses.
Hiring for the following:
Saturday, June 14, 2025 – Holi Festival of Colour
A Hindu festival that celebrates the beginning of spring. This “Festival of Colours” is known around the world for its use of colourful powder and water. This event will run from approximately 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday, July 26, 2025 – Downtown Block Party
This is a music festival and family event that will run on Saturday and 9 pm – 10 pm on Sunday. *Exact times will be discussed closer to the event. Photographer not required for the full event however shots of daytime & night activities preferred.
Saturday, August 16, 2025 – Dog Days (new event)
Saturday, September 27, 2025 – Parade After Party
This is a family-friendly Caribbean themed festival after the Grape & Wine Parade.. *Exact times will be discussed closer to the event.
Saturday, October 25, 2025 – Halloween Candy Trail
Trick or treaters + kids activities throughout downtown. *Exact Timing TBD (daytime).

Looking for shots of a busy downtown, patrons in downtown shopping, dining, and utilizing services to be used in future marketing and promotions.
