Social Issues, Crime and Graffiti

The St. Catharines Downtown Association (BIA) recently hosted a Town Hall Meeting in partnership with The City of St. Catharines on Thursday September 12, 2019, addressing the challenges and social issues affecting our downtown business community.

The meeting was very well attended with approximately 150 concerned citizens including many downtown business owners.

In partnership with the City of St. Catharines, the Niagara Region and the Niagara Regional Police Service, an information package has been developed which we hope will assist you in times of crisis or concern. Please download the document here:

Any criminal activity should be reported to the police and to the Downtown Association using the following contact information:

  • Complete and submit a Criminal Activity Report

We encourage all property owners to report any act of graffiti vandalism on their property to the Niagara Regional Police as well as to contact the Downtown Association Office for assistance to remove the graffiti as quickly as possible.
